So here we go, we’ve started working on launching two events this summer:

1. A coaching conference / summit
2. A player camp

We’re working on developing the agenda, and are still open to adjusting and building an offering that suits your needs.

The general idea is to have an intimate summit with approximately 30 coaches and a handful of speakers. Expertise, coupled with small class size, coupled with 1 on 1 interactions, coupled with networking, and oh yeah … it’s Vegas.

Player camp

I’ve made no secret of what I think of player camps.

Almost all of them are glorified daycare centers. And I get it, lots of parents may actually be looking for that. But I think there’s an opportunity for camps that actually have a plan to offer legit soccer value. Hell, this is what many parents have confessed to me.

So here’s our response.

Finally

I would like to publicly welcome both John Pranjic and Joey Cascio to the 3four3 team.

We are blessed to have them both bring their devotion and energy to the game here.

Joey was on the first team Brian ever coached. It was a U19 team and Brian was 24 at the time. After that, we all had some nice indoor seasons playing together – crushing D1 college players in the face. In those days, Joey was quite rebellious with our possession philosophy, but has since come around and now totally gets it. Haha … oh Joey … what have we done to you.

Joey’s been coaching in Southern California for 7 years, and regularly comes to our training sessions and games. He’s had an insatiable appetite for the game, and a few months ago launched 3four3’s first ever personal training “franchise”.

Now he’s leading our efforts with our San Diego player camp.

As for John, he’s one of 3four3’s original readers. I swear to Zeus himself, I remember his first contact vividly.

It was a chilly and rainy night, and I was with my love, Irene, at a Starbucks we never frequented on Beach Boulevard (next to Knotts Berry Farm). I got a message from John, and I was like: “Wow, someone’s actually reading my stuff, and wants to connect!” Yes, I was excited. And yes, it interrupted girlfriend time, but I digress.

John has been coaching in Northern California for 9 years, been an advocate of a possession-based game, shown some video evidence of his work, has driven down many times to watch the National Team or our Academy train, organized and got his club to host a 3four3 coaching clinic, doesn’t accept mediocrity, and the list of positives goes on.

John is now the focal point for our Coaching Conference.
